A massive set of vintage Ojibwa/ Chippewa snowshoes.  Notice the classic upturned tips and two piece design.  Snowshoes like these were crafted for ceremonial as well as usage purposes.  We believe the mid section is woven with traditional raw hide babiche while the tips and tails are of a synthetic material.  Yarn or wool Pom Poms give a pop of color that will make these snowshoes a wonderful addition to your home decor.  Many Native First Nation people crafted snowshoes in this style including the Cree, Nascapi, Montagnais and others.
