This listing is for the pair of Snurfers shown. The yellow one has its original nylon braided rope and has its original Yellow paint. It is in fair to good condition. The brown one is missing its nylon rope and is also in decent condition. We purchased these together and will pass them on to the next caretaker as a pair.
They will show very well in a collection or on the wall. Snurfers and Skifers were the first versions of snowboards. Most of the early pioneers of modern snowboarding owned these “toys” throughout their life. Jake Burton (one of the first to shape vintage snowboards) would modify Snurfers in his backyard. Sherman Poppen invented Snurfers in 1965 in Muskegon, Michigan. Many attribute Sherm as the father of modern snowboarding.
