This vintage Burton snowboard is in pristine condition. We sold it for the original owner, a friend, who decided to let it go. He bought it in 1979 at a local ski shop in Kalamazoo Michigan when he was a freshman in college. As was the case around the nation, Michigan ski areas would not allow snowboards on there slopes so it was used a handful of times on the local college hills. As you can see from the photos everything is original and in excellent condition which is attributed to its storage in a heated basement for the last 33 years.
Below is the text from the original 1979-80 winter season Burton Boards brochure.
The Backhill model is the ideal all-around board. Adjustable bindings facilitate learning the sport and enable the rider to handle difficult terrain and aerials. A great board in deep powder, yet equally capable in slushy bumps and packed snow.
Length: 130cm(51")
