A very unique vintage Burton snowboard. We have been collecting and selling old Burton boards for the past 18 years and have never found this exact model. We have only seen one other similar and it's currently on display at the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum. We don't believe that even Jake and Donna have this board in their collection.
We are selling this Burton prototype snowboard for a friend that got it back in 1980 while visiting Stowe Mountain Resort. She recalls there were about 8 of these at that time. She was spending a few vacation days visiting a friend who was working up at Stowe and they had a blast sliding around and 'testing' this new sport. She used it again a few times at her local sledding hill, and then it was retired to the rafters of her mothers barn. Fast Forward 30 years and dust off the board. She is hoping it goes to someone who really appreciates snowboarding's history.
