A very unique set of wooden Mining and Trapping snowshoes. Many Gold Rush miners literally rushed to the Yukon to stake their claim. Once they arrived reality set in forcing a few local necessary purchases. While some of the finest snowshoe designs were crafted in the Pacific Northwestern region, often times demand outpaced supply with many locals forced to hand craft one-of-a-kind snowshoes.
Finely preserved over the years with a beautiful patina. A wonderful set for your collection.
